Kick-off time Arsenal vs Leicester Premier League, TV news

Last Friday’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park helped Arsenal banish the demons of that opening day 2021 defeat by Brentford and they now return to the Emirates full of confidence.

The same cannot be said for Saturday’s opponents Leicester City, who threw away a two-goal lead against the Bees and were forced to share the points.

Questions have been raised about the Foxes’ lack of recruitment this summer as all transfer talks about them appear to be about who could leave King Power Stadium.

The Gunners had their number one spot last season – twice in the league and once in the Carabao Cup – and have strengthened significantly in recent months.

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus are set to make their competitive home debuts against Leicester after joining from Man City for a combined total of almost £80m, while centre-back William Saliba looked like a new signing against Crystal Palace – as the old cliché goes.

There are certainly plenty of positives ahead of Arsenal’s first game at the Emirates in 2022/23 and now it’s up to Mikel Arteta’s side to ensure they live up to the hype.

Our prediction: Arsenal vs Leicester

All three games between these two teams last season ended in a 2-0 win for Arsenal and there is no doubt that the hosts are favorites in this game.

It wouldn’t come as a huge surprise for the Gunners to finish two goals clear on Saturday – although scoring goals wasn’t Leicester’s problem last weekend.

Arsenal rode their luck at times against Crystal Palace and the Foxes have the attacking quality to put them to the sword.

Our prediction: Arsenal 3-1 Leicester (12/1 at bet365)
